ALL BAKING EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE:
Please refer to the Rules, General, Supplementary and these Specific Regulations for guidance on the conduct of the competitions.
All exhibits in cakes, etc to be shown on disposable plates or trays.
Entry cards must be securely fixed to plate/tray and be easily visible.
Plated exhibits can be placed in a large oven bag to keep fresh. Please do not use any cling wrap.
Entries in Home Baking Classes must NOT be baked in a Commercial Kitchen. (Excluding school students using school kitchen facilities).
Professional Bakers may NOT enter Home Baking Classes.
The Open Baking section can be entered by Home Bakers & Professional and semi-professional Bakers e.g. Bakeries, cafes, market stall and online sale businesses.
No Packet Cakes allowed in this section.
Single Large Cakes should be no larger than 22cm square or diameter (round Cakes) No ring tins.
No sales are permitted from this section.
Baking Exhibitors Note: any unplaced entries (excluding classes PC009 & PC030 and all Junior Classes) may be donated to Show Volunteer catering at the discretion of the Stewards. If you do not want your exhibit to be donated, you must write “NOT WILLING TO DONATE” in Red on the bottom of your entry card.
Entries in CLASSES 7, 23 & 37 shall not be included in consideration for Champion Exhibits.
All perishable exhibits will be disposed of at the conclusion of the Show. Fruit cakes, place cards, cake boards and Decorated Arrowroots will be retained but will NOT be available for collection from the Pavilion on the last day of the Show, unless special collection arrangements have been made in advance with the Head Steward due to exceptional circumstances. Remaining items may be collected from the Pavilion between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm on Monday 15 April 2024. Entry Stubs must be presented to collect items/exhibits. Any item/exhibit not collected by Wednesday 17 April 2024 will be disposed of by the Association unless alternative arrangements have been made with the Secretary’s Office.
Any work that does not comply with the above requirements shall not be displayed or judged.
