Held every year in Autumn (April/May) at the iconic and historical Bathurst Showground, the Royal Bathurst Show is a lively exposition of rural life, the agricultural, horticultural and pastoral industries, a showcase for livestock, food, wine, arts & craft and the best of the region. Together with the best carnival rides straight out of Sydney, Showbags, stunning attractions & live entertainment. Trade exhibitions have been part of our annual show on these grounds since day one - 1878!
The largest community event in Bathurst, the Show has been a highly recognised, fun, family oriented, community focused and entertaining forum for more than 160 years.

COMPETITORS
The Royal Bathurst Show conducts well over 2,600 competitive classes spread over 35 sections.
The Royal Bathurst Show Supreme Livestock Exhibit & Supreme Static Exhibit are awarded the Bathurst Regional Council Awards for Excellence
These Awards are open to all exhibitors in all sections.
They will be given to an exhibit, not necessarily to a major prizewinner, which shows potential to become a leader in its field.
The exhibit will clearly display exceptionally high standard of the qualities sought after by each section.
An exhibit which shows capabilities of producing prime offspring, or in the case of a non-breeding exhibit, one which shows outstanding qualities of design, texture, colour, uniqueness and or craftsmanship.
The winners will receive Prize Money to the value of $500 proudly sponsored by Bathurst Regional Council.
Other significant awards are the Royal Bathurst Show Agricultural Art Award and the Royal Bathurst Show Young Painters Award (The Whiteley Memorial).
